To become a Medical Transcriptionist you will have to acquire knowledge of phonetics, medical terminology, various accent used in different countries, mainly US. The profession involves listening to recording and transcribing it into electronic text form and sending it back to the company from where it came. You will have to have computer, Internet Connectivity, headphones etc. There are various companies who organize test for becoming a transcriptionist and provide work also. However, formal University affiliated Medical Transcription courses are few and far between. One example to explore would be Manipal University, Manipal.

Masters in Business Economics (MBE) is a PG course that focuses on Business Economics and has impressive credentials. The department has an active placement cell and is rgularly visited by reputed companies from the field of media & advertising, banking, FMCG and so on. The admission to this course is through written test, followed by group discussions and personal interview. Besides DU, a large number of other universities offer the MBE programme.
